THE 2011 CLASS MOVES FORWARD
submitted by: Jim Stewart

As the 2011 season came to an end all 14 seniors had their plans and dreams in place to move on to play-ball and attend a college or university.

Bubba Jones was on his way to fullfill a dream having been drafted by the New York Yankees. Bubb's played the first third of our summer season before signing and heading off to Florida and put the pin-stripes on.

Michael Conforto and Dylan Davis started over the past 3-years and both are playing for the Beavers at Oregon State. Michael finished off with Chaffey having started in centerfield as a 16 year old before moving into the infield and leading Chaffey at the plate all 3-years. Dylan was a starting pitcher for all 3-years and also right field when he was not pitching. Dylan might have been our best athlete and the fastest player on the team, over the past 3-years.

Mitchell Gunsolus and Zach Abbruzza both are heading east to Spokane to attend school at Gonzaga and play ball. Both having played and started for the past two year. Mitchell has the ability to play any of the infield positions or move into outfield. Zach was a front line pitcher for the past two seasons and also played on the corners at both 3rd and 1st base.

Grant Gunning having only played with Chaffey for one year moved right into a starting role but, came out of High School ball with an injury, when he returned the last third of the season he was clearly going to continue to pitch down the line and is now pitching for Seattle Universty with Dave Wainhouse the pitching coach and former player and coach at Chaffey.

Aaron Thomassen and Chance Laboda are both attending Linfield, chance behind the plate and Aaron on the mound. Chance was a 2-year catcher for Chaffey and Aaron played his first season last summer as a utility player and pitcher. Both Aaron and Chance graduated from High School as 17 year olds.

Kasey Bielec is playing at Central Washington this year and joining his brother-Brett, Kasey is the end of the Boyer/Bielec family that had one of the boys playing for Chaffey each of the past 11 years.

Konrad Leites played his first season with Chaffey last summer and is attending Washington State University this year.

Seth Heck who played for the past two season is playing at Tacoma Community College this year as a middle infielder.

Conner Campbell has played for Chaffey since he was 16 years old and ended up sitting out most all of the season last year with an injury, and is now attending Bellevue College. JoJo Howie who also played the past two seasons played first, threw as a relief pitcher and also started, he is now attending Everett Community College. When JoJo and Conner where juniors in High School and both 16 years old they appeared in 29 of our 58 games dominating in the relief roll. Conner and JoJo like Chance and Aaron graduated as 17 year olds from High School.

Cody in his 2nd year as a starting catcher missed the last third of the summer with an injury and is returning to Everett Community College to take care of the catching duties.
