DAVIS - CAMPBELL 2-HIT WAVE FOR A 7-1 WIN

Dylan Davis threw 4.2 innings without giving up a hit as the winning pitcher, Conner Campbell came in and threw the reminaing 2.1 innings only surrendering 2-hits, the Wave didn't get their first hit till the 6th. Dylan finished the game going 2-for-4 with a double.
Mitchell Gunsolus lead off the game with a double to left, Chris Guin followed with another double into left scorng Mitchell, Dylan LaVelle then singled into left center scoirng Chris for Chaffey's first two runs of the game.
In the top of the 4th Zach Abbruzza doubled into right, Seth Heck singled into left scoring Zach and giving Chaffey a 3-1 lead. Zach finished the game going 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles.
In the fifth Michael Conforto hit a solo homerun into right center, Dylan then doubled off the wall in center and scored when Bubba Jones singled into left extending Chaffey's lead to 5-1.
In the top of the seventh Chaffey scored their final two runs when Dylan LaVelle drew a walk and Bubba Jones homered into center. Bubba finished the game going 2-for-4 with a homerun and 3-RBI's.
In the second game of the double header Chaffey dropped the game 11-6 at Newport High School.
Chaffey came out and scored 4-runs in the first when Mitchell Gunsolus and Chris Guinn both were hit by pitches, Michael Conforto then drag bunted and the pitcher miss played the bunt to load the bases, Dylan Davis then hit a grand-slam into left center to give Chaffey the lead 4-0.
En Fuego came right back and scored 3-runs in the top of the 3rd to cut Chaffey's lead 4-3, in the bottom of the inning Chris Guinn singled into left, and Michael singled into right, Dylan Davis then grounded into a double play scoring Chris from 3rd.
En Fuego then scored 6-more runs ino the 5th and 2-more in the 6th to take an 11-5 lead. Chaffey put up their final run in the bottom of the seventh when Mitchell singled, Chris Guinn then hit into a fielders choice forcing Mitchell out at 2nd, Michael doubled into right center moving Chris to 3rd, Dylan Davis hit a sac-fly into left scoring Chris for Chaffey's final run. Michael went 2-for-4 for the game with one-double. Anthony Blackie also finished 2-for-4.
JoJo Howie threw the first 4-innings, Dylan LaVelle threw the 1.2 innings, Conner Campbell threw 1.1 innings with Obe Taylor throwing the 7th inning.

HUDSON THROWS LAST GAME FOR CHAFFEY

Evan Hudson threw his last game for Chaffey as he moves on to play football and baseball for the UW, Evan threw the first four innings of hte game only allowing 1-hit while striking out 5-batters on the way to Chaffey's 2-1 record in the Baden NW Invitational Tournament with a 9-1 victory over the Vancouver Coyotes.
Mac Acker threw the last inning of the game not allowing a hit while striking out the side.
In the bottom of the first Chaffey put three runs on the board with back to back walks to Mitchell Gunsolus and Chris Guinn, Michael Conforto then singled into right scoring Mitchell, Bubba Jones followed with another single into right scoring Chris, Chaffey's third run came when Zach Abburssa singled into left scoring Michell.
In the top of the third Vancouver scored it's only run, Chaffey came right back in the bottom of the inning and put three more runs on the board to take a 6-1 lead. Dylan LaVelle singled into left, Bubba Jones then drew a walk, Zach then singled again into left scoring Dylan, Cody Reed then dragged bunted moving Bubba to third and Zach to 2nd, Seth Heck singled into right scoring both Bubba and Zach.
In the bottom of the inning Bubba Jones, Chance Laboda and Seth Heck all drew walks to load the bases, Bubba scored on a wild pitch moving all runners up one base, Mitchell Gunsolus then singled into right scoring both Chance and Seth to give Chaffey the 9-1 lead and win.
Chaffey will be playing the Wave at 3:00 pm tomorrow afternoon at Newport HS for their 4th game in pool play.

NOR CAL DROPS CHAFFEY IN GAME-2 OF BADEN TOURNAMENT

Nor Cal Baseball gave Chaffey their first loss in the Baden NW Invitational Tournament last night at the UW 6-2.
Chaffey scored both runs in the bottom of hte 4th when Bubba Jones singled into right, Dylan LaVelle then hit aground rule double that bounced out of the ball park in left center, with runners on 2nd and 3rd Kasey Beilec singled int right center scoring both Bubba and Dylan. Dyaln ended the game going 2-for-3, and Kasey gong 2-for-2 with both both RBI's. Chaffey had several opportunities to push runs across the plate leaving 8 runner in scoring position with less then 2-outs.
Zac Abbruzza threw 5.2 inning only allow 5-hits, JoJo Howie came in to close the game out throwing the last 1.1 innings and giving up 1-hit.
Chaffey will play the Vancouver Coyotes at Bannerwood Park with the game starting at 5:00 pm.
