DAVIS AND GUNSOLUS LEAD CHAFFEY'S COMEBACK OVER TAYLOR

Chaffey advanced in the second game of the Brandy Pugh Memorial Tournament with a win over Taylor last night at Bannerwood Park.
Dylan went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, homerun and 4-RBI's - Mitchell went 4-for-4 with a game winning triple that accounted for the tieing run of the game along with the winning run. Both Dylan and Mitchell lead the offensive charge over Taylor in an 11-10 win for Chaffey.
In the bottom of the first Chaffey put two runs on the board when Mitchell lead the inning off with a single up the middle, Chris Guinn drew a walk, Michael Conforto sac-bunted both Mitchell and Chris down to second and third, Mitchell scored on a pass ball, Dylan Davis then doubled into left center scoring Chris. Chaffey ended the inning with two runners in scoring position.
In the top of the 3rd and 4th inning Taylor scored 7-runs while Evan only gave up 4-hits. Chaffey came right back the bottom of the 4th and put 4-runs on the board. Robbie Ingram was hit-by-a-pitch, Seth Heck drew a walk, Mitchell drag bunted for a single to load the bases, Chris Guinn hit a sac-fly into right to score Robbie from 3rd and Seth tagged up at 2nd and advanced into third, Michael Conforto then hit a fielders choice scoring Seth from third, Dylan Davis then hit a line-drive homerun into dead left field for Chaffey's 3rd and 4th runs of the inning. Chaffey had left 7-runners in scoring position up through that point of the game.
Going into the bottom of the 6th inning Chaffey was down 10-6 and fought back for the win. Michael Conforto lead off being hit by-a-pitch, Dylan Davis then tripled into right to score Michael from 1st, Taylor made a pitching change and Bubba Jones then lined the first pitch into right to score Dylan and cut Taylor's lead 10-8, Bubba advanced to 2nd on a pass ball, Cody Reed came in to pinch-hit and with a 2-2 count hit a line drive into center to score Bubba and cut the lead to 1; Seth Heck then drew a walk moving Cody over to 2nd and bringing Mitchel Gunsolus to the plate - Mitchell hit a line-drive to the wall in left center to score Cody for the tieing run and Seth scored from 1st base for the winning run. Both Bubba and Cody lead the come back in the 6th inning with a pair of RBI hits, and Mitchell's double of the wall in left center.
Evan threw the first 4-innings only allowing 4-hits and giving up 5-earned runs, JoJo Howie came in for the win and close the game out - throwing 2- innings and only allowing one-run to score while only surrendering 2-hits.
Chaffey will play the Seattle Stars tomorrow morning at B.C.C. with the start time of 11:00 am. Dylan Davis will start on the mound for Chaffey.

CHAFFEY OPENS BRANDY PUGH WITH WIN

Chaffey opened the Brandy Pugh Memorial Tournament with a 8-6 win over Bankers Baseball Club at B.C.C. this afternoon.
Mitchell Gunsolus lead the bottom of the 1st off with a single to right, Mitchell stole 2nd and 3rd, Bubba Jones then singled up the middle to score Mitchell. Bubba finished the game going 2-for-3 with 1-RBI.
In the top of the 2nd and 3rd innings Bankers scored 2-more runs to take a 3-1 lead. In the bottom frame of the 3rd Mitchell tripled into right center and scored when Chrus Guinn hit a sac-fly into right to cut the lead 3-2. Mitchell went 2-for-4 for the game with 1-RBI.
The Bankers added one more run in the top of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead, Chaffey came to the plate and put 5-runs on the board to take a 8-4 lead. Bubba singled into right and Kasey Bielec drew a walk, Dylan LaVelle then singled up the middle to load the bases, Cody singled and scored Bubba, Seth Heck followed with another single and scored Kasey from 3rd. Mitchell hit a fielders choice scoring Dylan, Chris singled into left to score Cody from 2nd, Michael Conforto tripled into left center to score Chris, Dylan Davis then singled into left to score Michael for Chaffey's 5th-run of the inning. Michael went 2-for-2 with 1-RBI, Cody also went 2-for-3 with 1-RBI.
Mac Acker went 1.1 innings not allowing a hit, Anthony Blackie then threw the next 4.1 inning only allowing 1-hit, JoJo came in to finish the game going 1.1 inning and also only allowing 1-hit. Chaffey the Bankers to just one hit till the 6th inning.
Chaffey will play Taylor Baseball at Bannerwood Park Thursday night with the start time at 8:00 pm.

CONFORTO, GUINN AND DAVIS LEAD CHAFFEY OFFENSIVELY

Michael went 3-for-4 with a triple, Dylan was 2-for-2 with a homerun and 3-RBI's and Chris was 2-for-2 scoring 2-runs to lead Chaffey over New Zealand last night at the UW 8-0.
Chris and Michael with abck-to-back singles into left brought Dylan to the plate when he hit a homerun into left center, Bubba Jones followed with a base-on-balls - Kasey Bielec then doubled off the wall in left to score Bubba and give Chaffey a 4-0 lead.
Chaffey added 4-more runs in the bottom of the second with Max Engelbrrekt singled into left center, Seth Heck was hit-by-a-pitch, Mitchell then tripled into left center scoring both Max and Seth, Chris followed with single into left scoring Mitchell, Dylan and Bubba both singled to load the bases, Cody Reed then singled down the line in left to score Dylan for Chaffey's eighth run of the game.
Zach Abbruzza threw the 1st inning only allowing 1-hit, Dylan LaVelle then threw the next 4-innings allowing 2-hits while striking out 5-batters, Evan Hudson threw the 6th inning striking out 2-batters and Conner Campbell closed the game out throwing the 7th inning.
Chaffey will open up the Brandy Pugh Memorial Tournament this afternoon at B.C.C. with the game starting at 2:00 pm.
