ACKER NO-HITS CHICO TO GO 3-0 IN TOURNAMENT

Mac Acker threw a no-hitter against the Chico Nuts to move Chaffey to 3-0 in the Josh Anderson Memorial Tournament.
On the offensive side Mitchell Gunsolus went 4-4 with a pair of singles, double and a grand slam - accounting for 4-RBI's as he lead off hitter.
In the top of the 1st Chaffey put 3-runs on the board when Mitchell lead off with a single into center, Chris Guinn followed with a double down the left field line, Michael Conforto hen tripled off the wall in left center scoring both Mitchell and Chris, Dylan Davis then hit a sac-fly into right to score Michael. Chris finished the game going 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBI's.
In the top of the second Cody Reed reached base on a fielder choice and advanced to 2nd when Seth Heck followed with a fielders choice into the hole at short, Mitchell then singled into right, to load the bases, Chris Guinn then lined a single into right scoring Cody and Seth, Mitchell was thrown out at 3rd trying to take an extra-base. Chris then stole 2nd, Michael Conforto then singled into center to score Chris and extend Chaffey's lead to 6-0. Michael was 2-for-4 for the game with a pair of RBI's.
In the fifth Chaffey put the game out of reach putting 6-more runs on the board with the final score being 12-0.
Dylan Davis lead off the inning with a solo-homerun into center, Bubba Jones, Dylan LaVelle and Cody Reed all hit singles to load he bases, Mitchell Gunsolus then hit a grand slam into left center to clear the bases,
Chaffey plays the Reno Knights tomorrow night at the University of Reno with the game time at 5:30 pm, Obi Taylor will be the starting pitcher.

7-HOMERUNS PUTS CHAFFEY 2-0 IN JOSH ANDERSON MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Chaffey hit 7-homeruns on the way there second win in the Josh Anderson Memorial Day Tournament with an 18-4 win over the Yakima Pepsi Pak.
Micheal Conforto hit 3-homeruns accounting for 9-RBI's, Chris Guinn, Mitchell Gunsolus, Dylan Davis and Bubba Jones also each hit solo-homeruns.
In the top of the first Chaffey scored three runs when Chris Guinn singled into center, Michael followed with his first homerun into right field, Dylan Davis doubled into right center - Bubba Jones then doubled into left center to give Chaffey a 3-0 lead. Chris ended the game going 4-for-4 with a pair of singles, double and homerun.
In the bottom of the 1st Yakima came right back and cut the lead to 3-2. Chaffey scored four more runs in the top of the 2nd to extend the lead to 7-2. Mitchell Gunsolus and Chris Guinn both hit back o back homeruns, Michael Conforto then singled into right, Dylan Davis then hit a line-drive homerun into left center. Bubba Jones ended the game going 3-for-3 with a single, double and homerun.
Again Yakima followed up pushing 2-more runs across the board in the bottom of the inning. Chaffey put the game away in the top of the 3rd scoring 6-runs. Seth Heck lead off with a single into right, Mitchell followed with a base-on-balls, Chris Guinn then singled into right scoring Seth, Michael then hit his second homerun of the game scoring both Mitchell and Chris. Kasey Bielec followed with a base-on-balls - Bubba Jones then homered into left center for Chaffey's 12th and 13th runs.
In the top of the 4th Chance Laboda reached base on a fielding error, Anthony Blackie then doubled into left scoring Chance, Mitchell Gunsolus and Chris Guinn both drew walks to load the bases, Micheal came to the plate and hit a grandslam into right center. Michael ended the game going 4-for-5 with a single and 3-homeruns.
Dylan LaVelle threw the first inning allowing 1-hit, Conner Campbell threw the next 3-innings only allowing 3-hits, Evan Hudson closed the game out throwing the 5th inning allowing 1-hit.
Chaffey will play the Chico Nuts at 3:00 pm at the University of Reno for there 3rd game of the tournament.

CHAFFEY OPENS WITH WIN IN JOSH ANDERSON MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

In the opening game of the tournament Chaffey opened up with a 6-5 win over the Petaluma Leg Horns.
Mitchell Gunsolus went 2-for-3 with a double, Dylan LaVelle was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and scoring 2-runs and Chris Guinn also went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI's - to lead Chaffey offensively.
Petaluma scored a single run in the top of the 1st, Chaffey cameright back to knot the game with Mitchell lead off with double into left, Seth Heck hit a fielders choice to move Mitchell over to 3rd, Michael Conforto then hit a sac-fly into right to score Mitchell.
In the top of the 3rd the Leg Horns added 2-more runs to take a 3-1 lead. Chaffey came back in the bottom of the 4th scoring 4-runs to take a 5-3 lead. Michael was hi-by-a-pitch, Dylan Davis hit a single into left, Kasey Bielec then doubled into right scoring Michael, Bubba Jones hen hit a sac fly into left scoring Dylan from 3rd, Dylan LaVelle then doubled into right scoring Kasey, Chris Guinn then followed with a single into left moving Dylan LaVelle into 3rd, Mitchell ended the scoring when he singled into right scoring Dylan from 3rd.
The Leg Horns then scored in the top of the 5th - in the bottom of 6th Dylan LaVelle hit his second double of the game into right field, Robbie Ingram then hit a fielders choice moving Dylan over to 3rd, with two outs Chris Guinn hit an infield single and beat-out the throw to score Dylan for the winning run of the game.
Max Englbrekt threw the first 5.1 innings spreading out 9-hits for the win, JoJo Howie came in for the save not allowing a hit.
Chaffey will be playing the Yakima Pepsi Pak at Reno HS at 3:00 pm on Wednesdaqy afternoon. Dylan LaVelle will be starting the game.
