CHAFFEY DROPS 9-INNING GAME TO CARDINALS

Chaffey dropped a 9-inning game to the Vancouver Cardinals 8-2.

Chaffey could only push tworuns across the board scoring 1-run in the 1st and the 2nd run in the 3rd.

Mitchell lead off the game with a miss-payed ball by hte righfielder for a double, Michael singled into right center to score Mitchell. Mitchell ended he game going 2-for-5 and scoring both of Chaffey's runs.

In the bottom of the 3rd Mitchell singled into left and Seth Heck sac-bunted him down to second, Kasey Bielec then singled into right to score Mitchell from 2nd.

Evan Hudson back from football camps threw the first 3-innings, with Anthony Blackie throwing the 4th and Conner Campbell throwing the last 4-innings.

Chaffey opens up with the Petaluma Leghorns at noon on Tuesday in the first game of the Josh Anderson Memorial Tournament in Reno. Max Engebrekt will be throwing the first game for Chaffey.

TAYLOR AND BLACKIE COMBINE FOR A 2-HITTER

Obi Taylor started the game and did not allow a batter to reach base till the top of the 5th inning. Over the seven innings Obi pitched he allowed 2-hits, did not walk a batter and struck out 8-batters. Anthony Blackie threw the 8th and 9th inning not allowing a hit and only walking 1-batter.

In the bottom of the first Mitchell Gunsolus drew a base-on-balls, Seth Heck followed being hit by a pitch, Michael Conforto singled into left scoring Mitchell and moving Seth into 3rd, Chris Guinn followed with a sac-fly into center to score Seth and give Chaffey a 2-0 lead.

Robbie Ingram drew a walk and stole second, he was then wild-pitched to 3rd and scored when Bubba Jones singled into right and giving Chaffey a 3-0 lead. Bubba ended the game gong 3-for-4 with 1-RBI.

In the bottom of the 3rd Chaffey added another run Dylan LeValle doubled into left off the wall and scored when Robbie Ingram doubled down the left field line. Dylan ended the game gont 2-for-4 withe a double.

Seth Heck lead off the 4th being hit-by-a-pitch and was pass-balled into 2nd, he was then wild-pitched into third and scored when Kasey Bielec singled into left to extend Chaffey's lead to 5-0.

Chaffey's final run came in the bottom of the 5th when Bubba singled into right, Mitchell followed with another single into left moving Bubba to 3rd, the pitcher balked allowing Bubba to score.

Chaffey will be hosting the Vancouver Cardinals Sunday morning at 10:00 am at the UW.

BIELEC LEADS CHAFFEY OVER THE BULLDOGS

Kasey Bielec lead Chaffey offensively over the Kent Bulldogs going 4-for-4 with 3-RBI's, scoring 2-runs and hitting a homerun for an 8-2 win.

In the top of the 2nd inning both Kasey and Dylan LaVelle hit solo-homeruns to take a 2-0 lead.

The Bulldogs scored a single run in the bottom of the 2nd, the scoring for Chaffey continued in the top of the 3rd when Mitchell Gunsolus hit a solo-homerun, Seth Heck singled into left, Michael Conforto doubled into right moving Seth over to 3rd, Chris Guinn then doubled into left center to score Seth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd Kasey singled into left center scoring Michael, Cody Reed followed with a sac-fly into right to score Chris for Chaffey's 4th-run of the game, taking a 6-1 lead.

Mitchael finished he game with double digit hits also going 2-for-3 with a pairs of runs scored and stealing 2-bases.

In the bottom of the 4th the Bulldogs added there second run to cut the lead to 6-2. Chaffey came to the plate in the top of the 5th to score there final 2-runs of the game with Michael lead off being hit-by-a-pitch, he then stole 2nd and 3rd, Kasey then singled into left to score Michael, Cody followed with a single into left moving Cody over to 3rd, Bubba Jones hit a sac0fly into center to score Cody to extend Chaffey's lead to 8-2.

Dylan LaVelle pitched the first 5-innings only surrendering 3-hits over the 5-innings and striking out 8-batter. Conner Campbell closed the game out throwing the final 2-innings striking out 2-batters and onlly allowing 2-singles.

Chaffey will be hosting Lakeside this morning at the UW with the game starting at 10:00 am, Obi Taylor will be the starting pitcher for Chaffey.
